Ishqedarriyaan opened to mixed reviews and responses. Times of India gave 1.5/5 stars to the film saying, "Evelyn Sharma for a change is not seen in skimpy outfits but her acting stays consistently poor, Mahaakshay is convincing but the film is way too tedious for you to sit through it. Music and locations are probably the best part about this film. Unfortunately, everything else is mediocre. Overall it turns out to be inconsequential in return. Despite decent production values, Ishqedarriyaan fails to click as it is way too cliched. Conventional is fine as long as it leaves some impact on you as an audience, which doesn't happen here. Paloma Sharma of Rediff wrote "The trouble with Ishqedarriyaan is that it isn't even bad enough to be good. It's just plain old dull. Lost in a world of its own, the film forgets to engage the viewer. The makers of the film might need to offer free tea at the screenings to give the audience an incentive to stay awake. The kindest thing I can say about Ishqedarriyaan is that it is yawn worthy." and gave the film 1.5/5 stars. The Indian Express gave 1/5 stars and wrote "Mahakshay returns in a badly-written romance, which makes you wonder why anyone would want to repeat the same mistakes. Ishqedarriyan’' features the age-old triangle of rich boy- poor girl- and third party, in a leaden plot that never takes off. We know who’s going to win fair maiden in the end, but we have to wade through two hours and more of sheer tiresomeness to get there. Who is this film made for? Book my Show stated that "The love story is sweet, but cliched! An overdose of emotional drama makes this romantic saga a bore. A loose script, below par acting and cliched romantic scenes, Ishqedarriyaan is a love saga that will bore you for two long hours! The film despite starting on a good note, loses grip after the first fifteen minutes^. The Indian Talks gave 4/5 stars to the film stating that "Evelyn can be seen in every third scene of the movie which makes it little boring the whole movie revolves around her. There is complete lack of the other sides of the story which is much needed with this idea. No doubt the performance of the actors are next to awesome.

I had watched the prequel and loved it. It was a perfect film and a breath of fresh air in the turgid environment of Bollywood. So when the sequel came, we booked our tickets a week in advance and waited eagerly for the feast we were sure of.

If you are not seeking hundred percent verisimilitude the film meets all your expectations. We were in a late late night show (in a foreign country) and the theatre was full. People were clapping, hooting with laughter and enjoyment and were thoroughly engaged with the film.

The film is about what happens to Tanu and Manu four years down the line. In that, it's quite predictable. Disappointment, resentment, regret, a desire to turn the clock back -all these describe the madcap Tanu (Kangana)who makes her way home after getting her husband, Manu,thrown into a mental asylum for being boring and callous like most husbands.What follows is a mad trajectory of passive marital rage interspersed with a clever balance of realism, comedy and pathos. This is done so well and so effortlessly that you are carried along, now laughing, now upset, now understanding, now sad, now nodding your head in recognition at some situation or dialogue.

Without giving away the story, suffice it to say that Aanand Rai has proved that the public is ready to accept an indie film provided it's honest, original and clean. Here, Kangana steers the film and the rest of the cast perform seamlessly. Madhavan plays second fiddle to Kangana but with perfect élan. Deepak (Pappi) is our new Johnny Walker, fresh, natural and without the contortions of our so called stand ups. I love Jimmy Shergill and feel sad that he is visible only in glimpses.

Yes, Banno, your swagger is immensely sexy, attractive, rib tickling and I am rooting for ya. You go, gal!

Thank you Mani Ratnam for this very timely return to form. OK Kanmani( Such a nice title) is a beautiful love story about the modern age relationships. The dialogues and the settings do bring back flashes of Alaipayuthey and Aaytha Ezhuthu. This isn't a perfect movie. There were some scenes that were cringe worthy(The Loopie App song/moment) . But despite these minor flaws, this movie is a triumph. A celebration. Performances by the cast were terrific . Dulquer is a capable leading man(despite his limited acting range). Nithya Menon was terrific and frighteningly real. But it's Prakash Raj and Leela Samson who steals the show as the older couple . The film moves to a different when they are in the frame. Overall, a beautiful movie that will appeal to the classes.

Tia lives alone in a huge mansion where the painting is kept. Hence, Roy tries to befriend Tia in an art auction and soon impresses her with his charm. A chemistry sparks between the two and both start spending time together, giving Roy entry into the mansion. Seeking for the right opportunity, one night Roy runs away with the painting, leaving Tia heartbroken. Roy later regrets, as he has fallen in love with Tia and hence decides to return the painting to her. After a small clash with painting's new owner, Roy manages to get it back. Roy is a pathetic attempt by the debut director Vikramjit Singh. It is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. Poor script with equally poor direction will make you pull your hair even before the interval of the movie. The talents of Arjun Rampal and Ranbir have been completely wasted. The viewer will never get a hang of what is happening on the screen. The narration is equally pathetic. There are a lot of continuity errors in the movie making the viewer puzzled.

Bravo Bhatts....I wanna kick your Butts

Don't jump out of your skin to find a reptilian like guy hitting on a pretty girl and wins her heart instead of experiencing a brief history of pain from the back of her hand. Yes! We are talking about Emraan Hashmi !!!Save your face-palm act for later as we have numerous such examples in bollywood and what's more disappointing is that they never give up. Such movies extend the credibility gap by portraying those girls as willfully offering to indulge in carnal acts with such atrocities. Majority would question that if it were some kind of legal Euthanasia? Even you may want to slit your own throat before watching such ugly duckling get lucky again, but believe me that is his USP (Even you might have secretly wished to switch roles with him).

Storyline: Raghu(Emraan Hashmi) a short stature cop from Mumbai police was assigned to protect the CM. He proved himself worthy of it by successfully terminating a terrorist who had hijacked a roadways bus, while leaving the tough job of diffusing the bomb to the girl. Thereafter, Raghu fell into the trap of his ambitious senior(Arunoday Singh) who sets him up to kill the CM. Hah! child's play! Raghu does the job in a jiffy. Now to ensure a clean job the senior(Arunoday Singh) had to wipe out the loose ends by killing E.H. restoring the law and order back. (You must have seen this part in -Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani)

What I like about Mahesh Bhatt is how easily he slaps on the face of any logic one could ever come across. His new anti-radiation drug could make anybody disappear by its mere ingestion. Moreover such scientific breakthrough drug was being tested in a roadside company with practically no security at all. Yeah, burn those obsolete schoolbooks and join Bhatt classes on IIN instead; his daughter had already topped IIM's in "two states" and I am sure most of us have seen that flick too. The experimental drug was carelessly tossed in a beverage refrigerator of that company and was in easy access to any Tom, Dick or Harry. The Doctor easily transported it out of the company and was pretty confident while delivering it to Raghu, maybe she also wanted him to give up the ghost.

One can assess her level of confidence when she explained that the drug was not tested even on lab mice. But much to her dismay the lecher disappeared immediately after its consumption as a side effect to that drug. F***ing nemesis !!! He could only be seen under UV radiation now..Wow ! How ? Bravo Bhatts ...I wanna kick you butts . But on the other hand this discovery solves the riddle of invisible audiences who are occupying most of the seats for this Movie. Verdict: (Vanished) /10

This movie raped my Intelligence

This movie is atrocious beyond words, and the first movie from which I've ever walked out (an hour and 17 minutes into it). The session was full of giggling middle-aged women, wetting themselves with anticipation - I cannot believe this book and movie has appeal. Are women really so bored, so desperate, that this is what gets them off?? The acting was appalling - I guess that's the end of Ms Johnson & Mr Dornan's careers. And I wouldn't be surprised if the actors who refused the role of Christian Grey are secretly relieved they had the sense to reject it! The script was laughable. No chemistry between the two leads. As for the 'eroticism'.....it was completely lacking. Stilted, awkward, poor cinematography, cheesy scripting. Just terrible.

I have always been a step up fan from the first one..with my personal favorite being the second one.I went to watch this after reading all the negative reviews,but after watching it ...i have to say it was awesome....just the whole dance and music will keep u on your seats frustrated enough to get up and dance....who cares about the storyline for an ultimate dance musical movie like step up...its all for fun for the adrenaline rush ....still this time they introduced concept dancing of a cause and it does make sense...it has a point in it and that was good...all the way it is surely a movie for all the step up fans who loves dance and music and a hell lot of fun mixed with it.

I admit that a small part of me is rating this movie poorly because I am not part of the target audience. But another reason is that the teen love stories from my adolescent years were way more intriguing. Movies like: A Walk to Remember, 10 Things I Hate About You, and even Cruel Intentions, were far more intense, had better dialogue, and were more memorable. It would be impractical for me to rate this flop higher than those prototypes.

Also, no one can film a successful romance without chemistry between the lead actors. The female lead was bland! Clearly the director ignored her lack of expression for the sake of her pretty nose and lips. The male lead only had one expression, confusion. Even when he smiled, it seemed like he didn't get the joke. At one point, he knelt down to look at a fleck of dust when he was supposed to be distressed! The rest of the cast shouldn't have to carry the film because Juliet is monotonous and Romeo's open mouth is drooling. Anyway, who am I kidding? I guess the dull girl is supposed to end up with the confused guy; but my glass ball tells me they have some quiet dinner tables in their future.

So, it's okay. It's one of those movies with a message. It's pleasant to watch it but on the way you get tiered and a little bored. Some of the information are skipped, but you can guess what happens next. It's like a light reading after a hard day. I like Alex's transformation. The I liked it was focused on both Rosie an Alex's life and that it clearly shows how a girl can over think an issue. It features the story of true love, that one that at the beginning was pure and innocent and at the end is mature and responsible. I liked how Rosie kept her hope alive, that she will have her own business and also how she raised her child. It's based on the typical teenage love problems. Also it caught the the fact that girls like Bethany always have more success in life and that boys like Greg always disappoint.

A pathetic and senseless paheli.

Bollywood is completely lost and if movies like Ek Paheli Leela don't stop making money, god knows what's going to happen in the future. Sunny Leone is nowhere near a good actress and when movies are churned out to make money from her skin show I just cant handle it. Somehow I sat through the 2 hours plus travesty hoping that the film would lead somewhere. The entire run-time the screenplay meanders nowhere before hitting us with senseless climax. There is precious little story and whatever is told is absolute nonsense about rebirth and building a sculpture of Sunny which had no aim whatsoever. The screenplay is shorter than Sunny's skirt and filled tiresome and forced item numbers. Well, I already knew that this movie was not going to be some classic still it is an insult to film making. Another unbearable film released just about a month after the dud called 'Roy'. Highly avoidable.
